One Little Word

For several years now I have joined in with the idea of One Little Word. You can find details about this at Ali Edwards' blog

My words in previous years have been Positive, Calm, Focus, Achieve, Be, Embrace. I found it quite difficult this year to choose a word. I wanted to build on previous words and also be positive. I have eventually chosen the word STRENGTHEN.

I feel that this will help me to build on what I have learned recently about stress management and keeping better routines going, also strengthening my new life here in Edinburgh. I would also like to Strengthen my quiet times with God, and what I have been learning and experiencing in my prayer course. Craft wise I would like to Strengthen my interest and commitment to actually doing some craft work. Healthwise I would like to Strengthen my fitness and healthy living.

I think this will be my Bible verse for the year "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phillipians 4:13.

I have done something different this year and have signed up for Ali Edwards One Little Word, so that I can keep my word more visible this year.

Other projects I have signed up for are 52 Weeks of Psalms and Journal 52. both free classes.

Have you chosen a word for the year? What projects have you signed up for?

What a great word & I absolutely love that verse in Philippians! My word is FUN & I've signed up for some FUN events & online classes. I clicked over & checked out those two projects you've signed up for & they look fabulous. In my quiet time this year, I'm writing in a journal (at least one full page a day), reading 3 Bible chapters, and reading/pondering a devotional. I really got off track the end of last year & have so enjoyed getting back to this time every morning first thing. I look forward to seeing how STRENGTHEN manifests itself in your life this year.

I'll look forward to following your posts and hearing how you get on.

I haven't signed up to anything, I have no resolutions and only a vague plan to deal with what comes my way this year. I've decided to start easy and see where it takes me.

What a great word for you and beautiful bible verse to go with it. I often choose a quote to go with my word but didn't this year. Maybe I'll have to consider that.
