An Owl at last!

At last I have managed to finish my Owl for Linda Misa's class at Altered Elements. I broke two needles the first time I tried this, so decided to needle felt the body this time and it seemed to work much better. This is the first time I have tried needle felting and I rather enjoyed it. Now to make the Cat.

Changing Sizes

Having started making John an 8x8 album for his London trip I then decided to change it to 12 x 12, so I have been busy today changing some LOs I had already done to make them into 12 x 12s. I think they have worked out OK.

This was a new one which I did on 12 x 12. I am almost finished the album and am busy putting them in the right order. It was only July 2006 he went - two years isn't too bad is it?

Crochet

My second crochet project! Not brilliant but getting there, I am rather enjoying it.
Have had quite a restful weekend yesterday and today. This afternoon we all watched the Star Trek film "The Voyage Home" which the boys had bought Gordon for Fathers Day and shared his chocolates! Also had cake for tea!

I lift up my eyes...

.. to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. These words are from Psalm 121, one of my favourite Psalms. The challenge over at SALT this week was to use a Psalm, so I just had to use this one. The photo was taken by Gordon when he was in Malawi last year. Paper is Basic Grey Mellow.

I am glad it is the weekend again and hopefully the sun will continue to shine, although that means I really should cut the grass! I would like to get started on a Felting Workshop I have signed up for run by Altered Element. I have not done any needle felting before but hopefully I am going to make a very cute looking owl and cat - watch this space.

PWL - Module 9 & 10

Where have the weeks gone. My Painting With Light course is now finished, I have really enjoyed it and learned lots. I have even taken my camera off its 'Auto' setting. Here are my photos for Modules 9 & 10.

Module 9 was to take action shots. The first photo is of a coin spinning.

Second is of milk being dropped into a glass.

This last one is of light trails made with a torch.

Module 10 was to use flash both indoors and outdoors.

What will I do with my time now!!!
