Happy 21st!

I shared John's 21st party photos yesterday, so it is only fair that I share some baby photos today. Happy 21st Birthday John!

This was John's favourite Christmas present. He proudly took it to church on Christmas Day to show it off - which caused some consternation amongst the good folk of the mining community we were in at the time! Not sure I have ever seen him ironing since!!

Birthday Party

On Saturday we had all the family round - to celebrate two birthdays. John will be 21 tomorrow and my sister-in-law, Kirsteen, will be 50 two days later.

A letter opener, which is a replica of Gandalf's sword from Lord of the Rings.

A 21 year old malt whisky and then a bottle of port - you can tell he liked them!

A fountain pen

Quess who got him this one - yes that's right Mum and Dad!

You can't see this clearly, but it is a bottle opener in the shape of Star Trek Enterprise.

Owls

I recently visited the Scottish Owl Centre  outside Edinburgh, as I really like owls. It was a great place. I hadn't realised just how many different varieties of owls you can get and from all around the world. We watched the flying display which was also good. Here are some photos from my day.

Ballater

Some views of Ballater. Last weekend, along with five other women, I was at Ballater in Aberdeenshire. We had a lovely time together and the weather was also lovely. On the Saturday we went for a walk. Some of  us climbed a hill and some of us walked along by the river - you can guess which I did!

We are all wives of ministers and it was lovely just to spend some time together, talking, laughing, praying for each other.
