Bootcamp Finished!

Bootcamp finished today and I soo pleased that I have actually finished something on the last day, instead of running way behind as usual.

The last four words were:

Full Bodied - well what else could I have except a nice bottle of red wine!

Hush: thought this was different - as the football is on rather a lot at the moment - the word 'Hush' is often to be heard in our house just now.

'Smooth' - thought of a stone with a smooth surface

The last one was 'Smile' - this is the top of a pencil that we are giving next week to the children who have been coming to JIGSAW as part of prize-giving.

My thoughts on Bootcamp:

well I enjoyed the challenge of taking photos to match a word and will definately try and take more photos over the summer.

a lot of the journal prompts didn't really speak to me, but I jotted down a few points for most of them.

was very pleased that I have actually finished it on time.

will try and put some time in my diary to create on a more regular basis.

still would not call myself an 'artist' though.

If you were playing along what were your thoughts on Bootcamp?

Love your take on 'hush'....very imaginative.
I must admit the journaling side of it didn't speak to me either...and tended to pick and choose with the 'words' as well.Like you I don't consider myself an artist...but am very happy as a crafter.I think this class probably wasn't practical enough for me.....am looking forward to Shimelle's new class starting next month.

I haven't finished yet, I have smooth, smile and full bodied to go...not sure I will do full bodied as I am just not finding any inspiration in it.

I've really enjoyed doing it, but found it very challenging timewise, maybe because I chose a media that needed a lot of time. However it has made me think and reassess a lot of things and I think there may be more to come from me on the subject, I do need to go through the last few journalling prompts properly as they talk about concrete action and positive steps and I think I will find that useful.

Congrats on finishing. I got a lot out of bootcamp, I think (even though I didn't do many of the journaling prompts either). I'll post a full class review next week, after I've had more time to think on it.

I can relate to a lot of what you've said :-) I didn't do any of the journaling, but I enjoyed trying to take photos to fit the prompts - and that led into journaling ideas anyway! So I enjoyed it, just not in the way I expected to xx

Oh, and I nearly forgot to say how much I like your photos and how clever your use of the prompts is!
