Last of the cybercrop LOs

Here are another couple of things I did at the cybercrop at the weekend. This first one is a journal/notebook class by Annette. I have done it in masculine colours as it is for John to use with his Warhammer army. I now have to make another one for Andrew!

This LO was for a sketch challenge and the photos are of Gordon and John visiting Andrew and I in hospital when he was born.

I have not been doing any scrapping this week as my next essay is due in for my OU course - I have only written half of it so far and it is to be handed in on Friday - so guess what I'm doing tomorrow!

Mystery Kit

Every cybercrop there is Mystery Kit which you can buy and make something with, this year there was also a theme to the challenge. As I was in Musical Melodies I had to make something with a musical theme, the kit came from A Trip Down Memory Lane. I decided to make a star book using the song Do-Re-Mi as inspiration.

Cyber cropping

Its cybercrop weekend again at UKS. Was away all day yesterday so didn't get quite as many LOs done as usual, but am pleased with what I have done.

I managed this LO on Friday night, it was for a class by Clo. The photos are from Ballinoy Harbor, Co Antrim. It was a fabulous place and the waves were spectacular.

Next class was one I had the kit for, by Bubbly Funk, I am going to make it into a canvas. I have still got some other bits from the kit to finish.

This next one is for a class by Louise. The photos are of the Emperor Constantine in the Capitaline Museum, Rome. Papers are Basic Grey Hang 10.

I shall upload more later. There is a birthday boy here wanting his birthday tea and cake!

PWL - Module 3

I haven't had a lot of time this week to go and take photos for the module. This week it was about framing a shot. Here are my 3 shots.

This was taken in the garden.

I know this is a bit blurry, but was getting fed up by this time, and had run out of willing models.

I like this one, which is a bit of a cheat, as all the photos are supposed to be taken this week and this was taken during week 1 while on holiday, but it fitted the module perfectly.

Giants Causeway

As promised here are some holiday photos. We got a really nice day when we went to the Giants Causeway, which is a fabulous place. We spent ages just clambering over the rocks which we all enjoyed.

Another place I would recommend is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, which gets put up every year for the salmon fishermen to cross over.

And just to prove that we all managed to cross it. It looks a bit scary but isn't really!

An Oscar Cybercrop

UKS are having a cybercrop next weekend with the theme of Oscars, I am in the Musical Melodies team, I just love cybercrops.

I was trying out crochet on holiday and decided to do an Oscar to sit on my desk for the cybercrop.

I have also managed to do my first flower. I quite enjoyed it, so will be practising lots.

I have also done a LO for a pre cc sketch class. This is another LO for my Rome album

PWL - Module 2

This weeks module was to look at texture. Here are my three favourite photos. I was out in the garden for ages with my tripod to get the first two shots!

Fab Holiday

What a brilliant holiday we had last week. Country Antrim is a fabulous place to go on holiday. It had just about everything we could have wanted - rugged coastline with fantastic waves, sandy beaches, places to visit, plus 10-pin bowling, cinema and shops for the kids.

We visited the major tourist places - photos to follow - when I get them all uploaded!! The weather the first weekend was freezing and windy - we went out for a walk and just about got blown away!!! Then it got a bit warmer and was lovely and sunny and dry.

Here are my 3 photos for Module 1 of the Painting with Light course. It was titled Changing the viewpoint.
This is of part of the Giants Causeway.

Taken at ground level at Dunluce Castle.

Painting with Light

I have signed up for Cheryl Johnsons Painting with Light course which starts this week. For our precourse homework we had to take a selfportrait and this is mine! I am really looking forward to the course as I have yet to take my DSLR off the auto setting - but now I shall have to!

I have also signed up for Shimelle's No Place Like Home course, which also looks really good. Not that I have actually done anything yet but I do have ideas.
