Busy Day

I've had a busy day scrapping! This LO was for a challenge over at Faithscrappers UK. The sunset was taken on holiday last year. The challenge was to use a prayer.

This was for a class by Barbara. I have inked the jigsaw pieces then embossed with UTEE. The cross embellishment is made by embossing with UTEE several times then stamping the image while it is still hot.

This card was for a class by Peechy.

He Lives! Cybercrop

My first LO for my Faith Scrapbook. It was a class by Kate over at Faithscrappers UK. They are having a cybercrop this weekend, and I just love cybercrops! The jigsaw pieces were cut from odd scraps of paper with a sizzix die. The journalling reads: Without Jesus I am not Complete.

Greek Day

We had an Ancient Greek Day at school today. This term the children have been looking at the Ancient Greeks as their topic and today we all had to dress up! Most of the children came as soldiers but a few did manage to find something else to wear. All the staff had to dress up as well. Instead of the usual lessons they were making a mosaic picture and did some quizzes on the computer. We also had some Greek food to eat. Everyone had a good time.

Easter Greetings

Yes, I know I'm a couple of days late, but better late than never! My sister was down for the weekend and we had a lovely time. On Sunday we decorated boiled eggs and then rolled them in the back garden. This was followed by an Easter Egg Hunt (in between the rain showers!).

On Monday we went to Glasgow and went to Pollok Park and then the Burrell Collection.

Today it was back to school, which felt a bit strange. Only three days to go though until we stop for the holidays on Friday. I am really looking forward to that. We are going to Portrush, County Antrim the second week of the hols. Hoping to get lots of photos of the Giants Causeway.

Week 7

I have managed another LO. This time for Week 7 challenge - which was to use an artistic photo. Gordon this photo of the raindrops on the outdoor chairs last summer on one of the many days it rained! I have stamped and embossed rain drops effect on the background.

Challenge 6

This is a LO done for Elsie Flannigan's 52 Scrapbooking challenges, it is based on week number 6. The challenge was to use a ribbon cluster and my LO is scraplifted from the example in the book. The photo is of Andrew taken in 2001.

I am now so far behind in these challenges that I have decided not to stress myself and just do them when I can. I have also not got on very fast with my A-Z journal, so I think I will just put that on on hold for the moment.

Why has life got so busy? I am working slightly longer hours this month. Mainly it is because my OU studying is taking up so much of my time. I am enjoying it but there is a lot of reading to do for it. I got my first assignment back and was happy with the mark, the next one is due end of this month.

Andrew has been off school all week with a sore throat and being sick, and the rest of the house are trying to fight off various coughs, colds and sore throats as well. Roll on Spring and everyone feeling better!
