Its Friday!

Thank goodness its Friday! The decorator has finished the lounge so I've now got to put everything back into it - having checked of course that only those things we really really need go back!!!

New Home Card

One of the challenges this weekend was to make cards. I haven't made any for ages so I decided to do one today. I made this card using scraps of paper and then stamped and embossed the house design.

The rest of today has been spent getting the lounge ready for the decorators coming tomorrow, with the result you cant actually get moving anywhere in the rest of the house. Hopefully they will only take three days then we can get back to normal!

Back to Work

That's the holidays over, went back to work today. Kids back to school. Roll on the next holiday.

Yesterday I spent almost all day trying to do an acetate album for the cyber crop, thankfully I finally managed it. This was the first acetate album I have tried to do. It was quite fiddly but I like the end result but not sure how many more I will attempt. I used the pictures from our crop party weekend at my sisters for it.

Got the Book!

Another couple of LOs from the cyber crop. This one was for a class by Papermaze. The photo is of John reading the last Harry Potter book, which he went and bought at midnight - he managed to persuade his Auntie Karen to take him. The paper used is Sassafraslass Serendipity Crimson Dots and Exuberant.

This one was for a class by one of my team mates, Sarah, it involved painting and using a mask. Very messy but a lot of fun! The photos are from Johns trip to Legoland last summer.

Dinosaur Day

One of the highlights of the cyber crop is the Mystery Kit. You buy a kit, the contents of which are a complete surprise, then you have to make something using only the contents of the kit. This time I made a concertina mini book of a visit John made to a Dinosaur Exhibition several years ago. I really liked the kit this year, mine came from Crafty Pastimes.

Cyber Crop Fun!

Here are some photos from our cyber crop at my sisters last weekend.

The first one is our mascots, all good cyber crops need some scrapping friends.

This is our cropping table, Pringles and Maltesers being essential cropping items!

Last of all a party would not be complete without some alcohol!!!

The fun continues this weekend on UKS, there are more classes today. I have the kits for two of them so hoping to get them done.

Flamingos

Last weekend I went to my sisters where we joined in the fun of the cyber crop on UKS. My mum was also there - it was good fun. Here are the two LOs that I managed to do.

The first one was Banana Frog's class, I had bought the kit for it. The papers are Pink Martini and the stamps are Banana Frog ones, Swirls. The photos are from our holiday last summer at Kingennie, near Dundee.

The second layout was from a class by Karen. It was a good way to use up lots of scraps of paper. The photos are from Flamingoland. My sister loved looking at the flamingos and would have watched them all day!

Rock Star

Managed to do another LO today, again from a class in the cyber crop at UKS. This one was by Mel at A Trip Down Memory Lane, one of my favourite shops. The photos are of Andrew a couple of years ago now when he got his guitar for his birthday. I altered the middle photo in Elements. The background is painted and the title is chipboard letters painted gold.
Going up to Glasgow tomorrow for a week's holiday. On Saturday going to a card making class at Craftology, then round to my sisters for some cyber cropping fun!

Scrapping at Last!

I have finally got my mojo back - and started scrapping again!. I have done two layouts today from the cyber crop classes on UKS.

The first is a class by Angi - Dotty about You. The LO is of Gordon and John visiting Andrew and I in hospital. All the dots and doodling are done freehand.

The second is Em's class Wishes. I have used ribbons from Little Silver Hat kit. The LO is of John when he was at Legoland last summer.

Exam Over!

Thank goodness that's my exam over and done with. I think it went OK yesterday, the chapters that I had revised for came up, so that's always a help. Just need to wait now until middle December to get the results. Probably need to decide now what to study next!
But first Im having a rest. Haven't done any scrapping for what feels like ages - hope to do some this week. Then on Friday we are off up to Glasgow for a few days.

Prize

I got an email today telling me that my months subscription to the Design Collective went live today - woohoo! I won this as a prize from the Collectively Yours blog for entering their postcard competition during the summer - thank you ladies. I am really looking forward to getting lots of exciting inspiration from the classes.

I have not had much time for scrapping or blogging at the moment as my OU exam is next Monday - only one week to go. I am busy trying to cram in as much info as I can - not really sure what is actually going in though! Roll on next Monday night.
